The West coast

Beautiful Venetian coastal towns such as Poreč and Rovinj, surrounded by countless bathing bays inviting you to swim and snorkel, characterise the west coast of the peninsula. To the north of the Lim fjord is the centre of Istrian tourism: between Umag in the extreme north and Poreč and Vrsar, the holiday resorts line up along the countless bays. A wide range of leisure time activities for tourists completes the offer for a perfect family holiday.

It's a bit quieter south of the beautiful coastal town of Rovinj. The coast here is mostly untouched. Between Mediterranean scrub and olive groves there are quiet spots on the beach even in high summer.
