An unusual attraction is the ruined city of Dvigrad. In the Middle Ages, many residents of the town were victims of the plague, until the city was finally abandoned in 1671 and left to decay. Today, the remains of about 200 houses, the church of St. Sophia and the fortifications give a popular photo motive.
